Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF) training—developed using FSPCA curriculum—provides a practical, standardized approach to understanding and applying the FSMA Preventive Controls for Human Food rule. This course is designed for food safety and quality professionals who support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a food safety system based on hazard analysis and risk-based preventive controls.
During the training, participants learn how to identify and evaluate biological, chemical (including allergens), and physical hazards; determine appropriate preventive controls; establish monitoring and corrective action procedures; and verify that controls are working as intended. The course also covers key supporting programs such as sanitation, supply-chain controls, recall planning, and the documentation and recordkeeping expectations that underpin compliance.
Whether you are a PCQI, part of a food safety team, or responsible for regulatory readiness, this training helps you build the knowledge and tools needed to align your food safety plan with FSPCA guidance and FDA expectations.
